It contains 3 paragraphs. ;1. Interpretation Paragraph 1 declares that the expression “State” in the Fifth Schedule, unless the context otherwise requires, does not include the States of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram.〔 ;2. Executive power of a State in Scheduled Areas Paragraph 2 declares that the executive power of a State extends to the Scheduled Areas therein, subject to the provisions of the Fifth Schedule.〔 ;3.
